currently licensed as a Naturopathic Physician by the state of Oregon* (Lic.

favorite clinical rotations during her medical training included a year-long stint at
the only naturopathic cardiology clinic in the U.S., and one at a clinic for
homeless teens in downtown Portland. Her 4th year thesis focused on treating
childhood ear infections without the use of antibiotics. She also has a
Certificate of Homeopathy awarded by NCNM.
Dr. Thomson has strong interests in chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, Lyme
disease, allergies, ADD/ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, hormonal
issues, and weight loss. She lectures regularly on naturopathic therapies for
menopause, Lyme disease, childhood vaccinations, nutrition for children, and
the health benefits of water.
Minnesota recently passed a bill to regulate Naturopathic Doctors (HF 1520) as
sixteen other states do! The bill goes into effect July 1, 2009. Until then, please
be aware that *Minnesota does not currently regulate naturopathic medicine;
therefore, there are no educational requirements or standards to be upheld. In
fact, in Minnesota anyone can use the titles "N.D.", "Naturopath", or even
"Naturopathic Doctor", without any training at all, and there have been cases of
patient harm via treatment from such persons. For your own safety, please
inquire about your health care provider's education and the license they hold in
another state.
Dr. Thomson belongs to the Minnesota Assocation of Naturopathic Physicians,
the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the Amercan Holistic
Medical Association. Dr. Thomson has been actively involved in efforts to
regulate naturopathic doctors in Minnesota through the MNANP. To hear
Andrew Weil, MD and others speak about the benefits of naturopathic
regulation, please take a look at this seven-minute video.
